Welcome friends and family

Hi I’m Tod Smyrichinsky, Maverick’s father.

Milestones like this have us reflecting on how precious life is and how quickly time passes.

The boy has grown to a man.

This building reminds me of a place we lived in LA, Laconia, on a rainy Saturday morning in our old school house’s full court gym, Mav was on training wheels at three years old. Tipping bicycle going around gym in circles. I took off training wheels. Gave him a push, and there he goes like a monkey on a bike at the fair with little wheels. School test results at kindergarten-5. 5th grade level for English and 6th grade level for math.

Fast forward to 2020, Maverick was living with me In Japan. Got this Kentucky girl, Maryli Fitzgerald coming in for a visit. Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hirasaki Castle. Just before we even knew what Covid was!

Maryli:
The saying applies “when someone shows you who they really are, believe them… the first time”….

My first impressions of Maryli have remained true to this day…. And Mark and Betsy, your love for her and care and nurturing are to be commended for where she is in life.

Maryli your attributes of kindness, thoughtfulness, dependability, understanding, being a problem solver along with a budget keeper are just a few of your pluses…..

We have yet to see your negatives. We love you and not only do you complete the team of Maverick and Maryli, your space in our chaotic crew was just what we needed to have balance and joy.

With all of the great attributes Maverick and Maryli have, achieving greatness together is about recognizing that their union is a collaboration.
