Dayna & Arthur

Words cannot describe how happy I am for both of you. I love how I've been able to witness you grow as people, and eventually into each other, first skiing with Dayna, and biking with Arthur. I think I first saw the sparks in a RONA parking lot, when you were a “couple” having a “disagreement” about kitchen renovations so the rest of us could use the customers only washroom. Nearly a decade later, here you are, building a home together. The moment I knew you were destined for each other was watching from a kayak on a cold, stormy lake on Dayna’s first canoe trip. Arthur was having a hard time loading the canoe in some sizeable waves. Arthur kicked off a rock and expertly angled the canoe into the waves, Dayna trusted the movement, joined in paddling, and somehow stayed in the boat after nearly being launched out of a canoe by a massive wave. Seeing that moment I knew we'd all be at a wedding sometime soon. I am so grateful to have witnessed your journey, sometimes literally from a satellite GPS! You are my two best friends, and seeing you build a life together has been one of my life's greatest journeys. Couldn't imagine a more "my dad" wedding than that, thank you Dayna for putting up with (or perhaps encouraging) his silliness. The extra critters were a nice touch. With love, Aidan
