Owned by two sisters, Unveiled Bridal strives to bring modern, distinctive designs to Bay Area brides.

When Claire Keddington opened Unveiled Bridal, she didn’t need to look far to find the perfect sales partner: Her sister, Sarah Packer, was excited to be part of the business from the very start. Disenchanted with the gowns they saw while shopping for Sarah’s wedding dress in the United States, the pair dreamed of opening a boutique that stocked the fresh, fun bridal fashion designs they’d seen while living in New Zealand and Australia.
Now, their San Francisco, California, salon relies on the sisters’ global fashion sense for its inventory of sophisticated gowns—and on their California-cool design aesthetic for its chic interiors. Immaculate wedding gowns on smart black hangers are arranged on pipes that serve as racks, while cozy dressing rooms, warm wood accents, and a central table displaying a refined collection of accessories create a warm, exclusive atmosphere.

The salon sells gowns from Australia-based bridal lines Prea James, Chosen by Kyha, J. Andreatta, Ingrid Olic, and Georgia Young Couture; from New Zealand’s Hera Couture; and from South Africa’s Alena Leena. “Our vision is to bring modern, distinctive designs to the Bay Area—styles you won’t find anywhere else,” says Claire. Seeing a bride find her dream dress from the unique, elegant collection is the best part of the process, says Sarah: “My favorite moment is when a bride puts on a dress where they can't wipe the smile off their face, and you know it's 'the one,'” she says. “It never gets old.”
The owners encourage brides to show up for their appointment with two essentials—”uplifting people, as well as an open mind,” says Claire. One thing you should leave behind: Any FOMO-rooted intention to see every single dress for sale at every single boutique before you commit. “It's hard not to want to try on every dress that's out there but when you find something you absolutely love and that feels true to you, go for it and don't look back,” says Sarah. “Stop while you're ahead!”
