After announcing their engagement late last year, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have revealed few details about their upcoming wedding. However, multiple reports note that the music producer and the "Love You Like a Love Song" singer are planning to tie the knot later this month. Recently, it's become clear that the duo is hosting an elaborate celebration in Montecito, California—and have asked a number of their famous friends to attend the affair. While it's assumed that the bride's best friend Taylor Swift will be in attendance, it appears that others, including Paris Hilton and David Henrie, also received an invitation.
Beyond the guest list, the soon-to-be newlyweds have hinted at some of the personal elements they'll be integrating into the festivities. While the couple plans to skip a number of wedding traditions, including a first dance and a multi-tier cake, they're excited to incorporate some Jewish customs into the celebration, in a nod to Blanco's heritage.
Below, we've rounded up 10 key details we know about the pair's upcoming wedding—from when it's likely to take place to the food that they plan to serve. Read on for everything you need to know.
Mindy Weiss might be planning the wedding.
While the couple has yet to comment on who will be planning their celebration, it appears that they may have turned to Mindy Weiss, the expert behind a number of recent celebrity weddings. On May 25, 2025, Weiss oversaw Demi Lovato and Jordan Lutes's nuptials. And just one weekend later, on May 31, 2025, she did the same for Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito. BRIDES editors have noticed that Benny Blanco follows Weiss on Instagram, leading us to believe that she may be the planner behind the duo's upcoming fête.

Martin Short was asked to be their ring bearer.
On September 9, 2025, Gomez appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with Martin Short and Steve Martin to promote the upcoming season of Only Murders in the Building. When Fallon asked her whether her two costars were invited to her wedding, she replied, "Of course they are, Marty's the ring bearer." However, the comedian may not be the only one with a significant role for the affair. When the Rare Beauty founder announced her engagement on Instagram, best friend Taylor Swift commented, "Yes, I will be the flower girl."

Ed Sheeran, Steve Martin, Paris Hilton, and David Henrie are attending.
While it's fair to assume a number of celebrity friends will appear at the duo's nuptials, a few have already confirmed—or alluded to—the fact that they're attending, including Ed Sheeran, David Henrie, Paris Hilton, and Steve Martin.
The California venue is a surprise to guests.
According to TMZ, the couple will be shuttling their guests to a secret location in Montecito for their nuptials. The outlet also noted that the celebration will be held at a private estate, noting that neither the Rosewood Miramar Beach nor San Ysidro Ranch was selected as the duo's venue. However, even though the music producer and the movie star may not be tying the knot at either of these sites, they may be having their guests stay at San Ysidro Ranch; September 12-13, 2025 is a blackout period that's unavailable for bookings on the boutique hotel's website.
There are two possible September weekends for their wedding.
The couple reportedly plans to host their nuptials over a two-day period this month. While there are three weekends left in the month, it's unlikely that they'll say "I do" on Saturday, September 20, as Sheeran is scheduled to perform at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas on that day. As a result, we believe they're likely tying the knot on Saturday, September 14, or Saturday, September 27.
They will likely offer Taco Bell or Dominos as a late-night snack.
It's no secret that the record producer and the actress love fast food. In addition to Taco Bell appearing to be part of their proposal, during a March 2025 interview, Blanco told Rolling Stone how the duo frequently orders Dominos. As a result, they'll likely integrate one of the beloved chains into their celebration, potentially as a late-night snack.
They won't have a first dance.
While discussing her and Blanco's upcoming nuptials on Table Manners with Jessie & Lennie Ware earlier this year, Gomez disclosed that the couple would likely skip the traditional first dance. "I don’t think we're looking at having one of those ‘cause they’re a little—I feel embarrassed," the actress said. However, she revealed that she would like to share a special dance with her grandfather, who never got the opportunity to walk Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefy, down the aisle at her wedding.
They will have a traditional hora.
During the interview with Jessie and Lennie Ware, Gomez revealed that she was excited to participate in the hora, a traditional Jewish dance, at the couple's nuptials. However, the singer noted that she still had reservations about the custom. "I am very nervous about that," she said. "I have to be honest, it looks so cute and adorable. But I was like, 'What, I have to depend on something like this?'" Ultimately, the actress noted that she plans to "have a padding around" to assuage her fears.
Jake Cohen will make the challah.
"The only thing I've said straight up, as a part of the food, is that I want Jake [Cohen] to do the challah," Blanco said on Table Manners with Jessie & Lennie Ware. "That's all I care about. He makes the best challah I've ever had." Cohen is the author of Jew-ish: A Cookbook: Reinvented Recipes from a Modern Mensch.
They won't have a traditional wedding cake.
Another custom the couple is opting out of? A multi-tier wedding cake. "I do know I don't want a big cake," Gomez said on Rare Beauty's TikTok account. "I think I’d want a mini one, for just us, that we can freeze." The actress added that her dream dessert would be biscuits and gravy.
