At this year’s 82nd Annual Golden Globes, much of the attention revolved around comedian Nikki Glaser hosting the show, Demi Moore winning her first major acting award, and, of course, Zendaya debuting her engagement ring from Tom Holland. The east-west oval diamond appeared on the star’s left ring finger for the first time during her appearance on the red carpet, quickly sparking engagement rumors. (TMZ confirmed the news the following day.) Holland reportedly popped the question to his Spider-Man: Homecoming costar over the the 2024 holiday season while spending time at a home belonging to the actress’s family. According to TMZ, the proposal was a private and intimate moment between the two of them—with no one else in attendance. 

While the engaged duo hasn’t publicly commented on their wedding date, it appears we may have a better sense of when they plan to tie the knot. In an interview with E! News on the red carpet for the Fashion Trust Awards on April 8, 2025, Law Roach, the actress’s go-to stylist revealed some new details about the couple’s nuptials. When asked whether he will be involved with crafting Zendaya’s wedding dress, the stylist was definitive in his response. “Of course, of course,” he said. “It’s far away. They’re both making a bunch of movies this year, and there’s a lot of premieres next year, so you’ll see a lot of red carpets.” Whether in a nod to the anticipated award show appearances or the duo’s wedding, Roach hinted at big things to come next year: “I’m resting up for 2026.” And while it’s unclear whether or not the stylist has a vision for Zendaya’s gown, some designers have already shared their own predictions on what the singer may wear. 

“Zendaya is always full glam for red carpet and formal appearances, but for press or interviews, she tends to lean more classic and uncomplicated in her wardrobe,” designer Esé Azénabor previously told BRIDES. “I think her bridal aesthetic will be fully in tune with her personal style: timeless, classic, and uncomplicated.” Azénabor revealed that she pictures her in a drop-waist ensemble with a full, sheer organza skirt. Her sketch, which took inspiration from the actress’s look at the Golden Globes, may prove to be true. Roach was the one who styled her for that awards show, putting her in an orange-hued custom ball gown from Louis Vuitton.

However, Azénabor wasn’t the only designer who took a cue from that January red carpet. Designer Idan Cohen also leaned on that dramatic gown for inspiration when sketching a potential bridal look, which he identified as “a flutter soft mermaid silhouette with long sleeves, a high neck, and a structural, detachable train—all crafted from the same beautiful French lace.” He explained the rationale behind his prediction to BRIDES: “I was actually inspired by the [orange Louis Vuitton gown] she wore to the 2025 Golden Globes. That look reminded me of Marilyn Monroe—and I combined it with Grace Kelly’s royal bridal gown.”

Regardless of the gown that Roach and Zendaya land on for her nuptials, it seems that we’ll have to wait until 2026 to see the final look. However, through upcoming red carpet appearances, we may just get a hint or two at where they’re looking for inspiration.
