Congratulations are in order for Jalen Hurts and Bryonna “Bry” Burrows! In an interview with Men’s Health, the star quarterback revealed that he and Burrows had officially tied the knot. And while he didn’t reveal any specific details about their nuptials, he did disclose more about their supportive partnership. It’s not necessarily a surprise that the athlete decided to hard launch the duo’s marriage. In 2024, Burrows soft launched their engagement when she was spotted at a Friday NFL game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo, Brazil with a diamond on her left ring finger. The two eventually confirmed their engagement days later in an interview with Essence. Photos of the picturesque proposal showed the romantic set-up Hurts created for the occasion, which included a violinist, votive candles, and red roses.
In the magazine story for Men’s Health, the writer noted how a handwritten note sat next to the quarterback’s iPad during their conversation. It wasn't a to-do list, though. Instead, it was a message of encouragement from Burrows: “You are exactly where you are supposed to be. I love you. Follow God! I follow you.” She signed the heartfelt note with just the first letter of her name–“B.” The writer then referred to Burrows as Hurts’s wife. In a follow-up article, the outlet disclosed that Hurts had clarified that, yes, the two were married. “You can call her my wife,” he told the magazine.

Earlier this year, there was speculation that the two had secretly wed. When Hurts arrived at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans for the Super Bowl in February, he wore a band on his left ring finger, indicating that he may in fact be a married man. While we don’t know where or when the duo tied the knot, it’s possible that they’ve been keeping their marital status under wraps for a few months. Yet even though they may keep their relationship out of the public eye, the love that they have for each other is undeniable.
“I knew a long time ago,” Hurts previously told Essence about his relationship. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.” They initially crossed paths in 2016 when they were both students at the University of Alabama. In 2023, they eventually made their red carpet debut when Burrows appeared alongside Hurts to celebrate his nomination for the Time100 Next List. Burrows, who works in artificial intelligence for IBM, also joined the quarterback on the field after two major wins this past season. After the athlete helped the Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl match-up, the two shared a celebratory embrace.
