Key Takeaways

  • Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld’s wedding is expected to be an intimate yet extravagant celebration with a small guest list.
  • The couple is reportedly planning to tie the knot in late May 2025, aligning with their busy schedules.
  • Celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss, who organized their engagement, may also be behind their big day.

On November 22, 2024, Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld announced their engagement, sharing a joint Instagram post of the Buffalo Bills quarterback down on one knee under a pink floral arch. And while the duo shared their future plans at the end of November, it wasn't until the NFL Honors presentation in New Orleans at the beginning of February (at which Allen was named the league's 2025 Most Valuable Player) that the actress showed off her new engagement ring. The round-cut diamond, which experts estimate to be approximately four carats, is thought to be worth between $70,000 and $150,000. However, even though the singer waited months to publicly debut her ring, it appears that the couple isn't wasting any time when it comes to wedding planning.

A source recently told US Weekly that the duo doesn't want a long engagement, and, as a result, wedding planning is already underway. "Hailee is very excited about the planning process and now that Josh is done with the season, she hopes they can have more time to make decisions together," the source added. And it appears that the big day may be right around the corner. In an appearance on the NFL Network in March, one of Allen's teammates revealed that the celebration was scheduled for May 31. On May 27, 2025, an anonymous source confirmed to The Associated Press that the nuptials would take place "over one of the next two weekends."

Below, we break down everything we know so far about Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld’s wedding.

It Won’t Have a Lengthy Guest List

Even though Allen and Steinfeld are an A-list celebrity duo, the guest list for their affair is unlikely to be a lengthy one. "It will be a very intimate but extravagant event," a source shared with Us Weekly

Allen Already Held His Bachelor Party

On March 4, 2025, the quarterback headed to the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Georgia to watch the Jupiter Links Golf Club face off against the Atlanta Drive GC in a tournament hosted by TGL, a league founded by Tiger Woods. According to Yahoo, a number of fellow athletes were in attendance alongside him, including Sam Darnold, the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, Kyle Allen, a quarterback for the Detroit Lions, and Dalton Kincaid, a tight end for Allen's own team, the Bills. A reporter on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, identified the gathering as Allen's bachelor party, posting a video of the group at the stadium

They Likely Have Their Planner

Celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss may be the one tasked with organizing the duo's nuptials. In an Instagram post, Celio's Design, a flower design company, wrote that they helped arrange the set-up for Allen's November proposal, which was planned by Weiss. As a result, it wouldn't be surprising if the duo turned to her again to plan their big day. BRIDES editors have also noticed that Steinfeld and Weiss both follow each other on Instagram.

It Will Reportedly Be Held on May 31, 2025

While the couple hasn't officially announced the date of their nuptials, a guest may have unintentionally let the information slip. On an appearance on NFL Network's Good Morning Football in March, Dion Dawkins, one of Allen's teammates, said that the couple was planning to tie the knot on May 31. "Josh Allen is one of a kind and he has sealed that deal," he said on the show. "Soon to come, May 31, it's happening." However, a few months later, Dawkins tried to walk back his statements when he was asked if he was invited to the wedding during an interview on The Rich Eisen Show. "Is that coming up?," he said. "I ain't know nothing about that. I have no idea what's going on. We're all here. We're all here in Buffalo, working out. I'll give those guys a FaceTime call and see how everything is going, but I have no idea. I have no idea."

Yet, it appears Dawkins may be acting coy. On May 27, 2025, The Associated Press reported that an anonymous source disclosed to the outlet that that the wedding was scheduled to take place over one of the next two weekends. Such a date would align perfectly with the couple's individual schedules. Typically, mandatory training camp for the NFL begins at the end of July. Assuming the Bills make it into the postseason, their season won’t conclude until January or February of 2026. That means Allen won't have much time to dedicated to such a celebration during the late summer, fall, or winter. Additionally, Steinfeld just finished promoting Sinners, her latest project. Even though the actress has reportedly been cast in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, it doesn't appear as though filming for that movie has begun, making this month the optimal time to tie the knot.
