Everthine Bride: Madison, Connecticut

1 year ago 463

Everthine Bride owner Chelsea McNamara knows just how overwhelming shopping for a wedding dress can be. In 2011, when she began looking for her own bridal gown, she combed through countless racks of dresses that left her feeling uninspired: Nothing, she says, matched her “chic, understated vision.” With a business degree from Parsons School of Design and a background working in the fashion industry, she felt confident in her style and she knew what she wanted—she just couldn’t find it.

When McNamara opened Everthine Brides in Madison, Connecticut, six months later, she intentionally curated “a collection of international independent designers that celebrated fresh, contemporary aesthetics,” she says, for “fearless, stylish brides,” like Alexandra Grecco, Katherine Tash, Galia Lahav, Made with Love, and Theodora James (among others). Her instinct that other brides felt the same frustration she did turned out to be correct: Her clients delight in the chic silhouettes and modern detailing on her offerings. “My favorite moment is witnessing the transformation when a bride finds her dress—you see the relief flood her face and relax her entire body,” says McNamara. “It's like a breath of fresh air washes over her, bringing her alive from the inside out.”

We are passionately committed to creating a personalized, joyful, and intimate experience—one that feels uniquely yours and becomes a cherished memory you'll look back on long after the wedding day.

McNamara also wanted her shop to serve as an alternative to cavernous boutiques stocked with hundreds of gowns—where some brides find themselves overwhelmed and their shopping experience spoiled. “Once you start over-shopping, the dresses begin to blur together, making it tough to trust your instincts; keeping it focused helps you clearly identify what you truly love without the 'dress fatigue,’” says McNamara.

Clients can pause for a drink on the salon’s wood-floor porch before modeling gowns in a well-lit, homey space filled with plants, floral arrangements, and plush furniture. “Today's brides are looking for so much more than just finding a dress; they're seeking a truly memorable experience throughout their entire wedding journey,” says McNamara. “They see these beautiful, exciting, and often emotional moments captured perfectly on social media, and naturally, they want their own in-person appointments to reflect that same magic and celebratory feeling. We are passionately committed to creating a personalized, joyful, and intimate experience—one that feels uniquely yours and becomes a cherished memory you'll look back on long after the wedding day.”
