Polished and practical, romantic and relaxed, Irish designer Róisín Linnane is a firm favourite amongst mother of the brides and grooms (MOTB/G) and stylish guests alike. The Irish designer is constantly redefining traditional occasionwear with her dresses and separates that blend architectural elegance and effortless sophistication.

One of the most common style dilemmas we get here at One Fab Day is where to find mother of the bride outfits in Ireland. We couldn't think of anyone better to weigh in on the style dilemma. The designer has shared her top tips to take the stress out of planning a modern and stylish MOTB/G look and not only that but you can check out her gorgeous designs worn by fabulous One Fab Day mother of the brides and grooms as well!

The biggest piece of advice is to wear something that is comfortable and makes you feel confident because that really shows on the day, the designer says.

"If you're constantly adjusting your outfit or worrying about how you look, you're not able to fully enjoy such a special occasion," she explains.

Knowing where to start can be tricky and she says to consider the colour of the bridesmaids' dresses as a jumping off point.

"The pictures will be there for life and you’re trying to get them to think visually about what colour will tone in with the rest of the bridal party. Comfort is the most important factor but choose a complementing colour will help create a harmonious palette that feels intentional.”

Gone are the days of matchy-matchy MOTB/G outfits she adds, "Don't feel like everything has to match perfectly anymore. It's nice to mix textures, add a beautiful coat or jacket, or wear separates that you'll continue to style long after the wedding."

Think about the longevity of the piece too, you don't need to buy something that you'll only wear once. "Investing in pieces you'll wear again is something we're really passionate about," the designer shares.

She also highlights a fan favourite feature in Róisín Linnane mother of the bride and groom dresses that is worth considering.

"One thing that our clients always say is, 'Thank God it always has pockets,'" she concludes with a chuckle.
