It might be easy to miss the bright pink, second-story sign for Aleana’s Bridal on the building it shares with a sports equipment outfitter in Paramus, New Jersey, but the shop’s extensive collection of designer gowns and custom offerings for stylish brides is worth the turnaround.
Inside the first floor entrance, a display of sparkling gowns previews the upstairs showroom’s brimming racks, where more than 500 wedding dresses from Pronovias, Demetrios, Allure Bridals, Rebecca Ingram, and other big-name bridal designers share space with five other collections exclusive to Aleana’s. Owner Lana Zakharina, who calls on her two decades of experience in fashion to source covetable silhouettes with impeccable detailing, also offers bespoke pieces and customization. “My favorite trend right now is bridal gowns with soft pastel undertones and 3D floral embellishments,” says Zakharina. “The subtle hint of color adds a romantic, whimsical touch, and the textured flowers bring the dress to life in such a dreamy, dimensional way. It’s a perfect blend of modern elegance and fairy-tale charm!”
No matter your size, style, background, or who you love, we are an inclusive space where every bride can feel confident, seen, and celebrated.
The full-service salon also sells gowns for mothers of the bride and groom; headpieces, veils, and jewelry; and flower girl frocks, with a separate section dedicated to $600-and-up sample gowns. Private styling appointments, one-on-one attention, and a focus on each bride’s unique love story make the experience entirely personalized.
“No matter your size, style, background, or who you love, we are an inclusive space where every bride can feel confident, seen, and celebrated,” says Zakharina. “My best piece of advice for finding your dream wedding dress is to focus on how the dress makes you feel, not just how it looks. It’s easy to get caught up in trends, opinions, and Pinterest boards, but at the end of the day, the right dress will make you feel confident, beautiful, and truly like yourself. Trust your instincts—when you find 'the one,' you’ll know—and don’t forget to enjoy the process. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment!”
