It’s a joy to share this effortlessly elegant destination wedding at the breathtakingly beautiful resort and historic residence, Borgo Sant Ambrogio in Tuscany, Italy.
Rachel and Luke’s June celebration embraced all the Tuscan magic, warmth and romance. The couple brought together, very intentionally, an essence of contemporary, timeless style -Rachel wearing a chic Martina Liana gown.
Their vision was for the day to feel like an elevated dinner party with family and friends – refined, joyful and filled with love. I hope you love these beautiful photographs, captured by Urška and Domen, that reflect everything the couple could have wished for on their day, as much as we do. Enjoy!

We wanted our wedding to feel timeless, and everything else would fall under that umbrella. Being in the Italian countryside, we also wanted to bring traditional elements to the look and feel of the day. Our vision was for the day to feel warm, relaxed and like an elevated dinner party with family and friends.
A Few Favourite Venues

We had my sister in law, Amy, officiate the ceremony. One of the special moments was when both of our mothers read poems during the ceremony.
We had Urška and Domen capture our day and we love the way their capture their weddings – their style is chic, timeless, warm and exactly what we were looking for in terms of how we wanted to remember the day. We would definitely recommend them to others, they were so responsive, processional and organised!
How They Met
Luke and I met in London in 2019 outside of the Ritzy movie theatre after having seen The Joker. Each with our respective group of friends got to chatting and ended up at a pub down the road.
We parted that night and life got in the way and then about eight months later, I texted Luke to see if he could meet! The rest is history.
The Reception
Our flowers were by Crilu Flowers – we really wanted simple, romantic flowers and Crilu did such a beautiful job bringing this to life.
We had a traditional Italian wedding cake, millefoglie, as our wedding cake. The cake was made in front of our guests by the chef and a bit of help from us. The cake was through our catering, Rolands Catering
Guest ‘favours’ were personalised match boxes from Etsy.
Our first dance was to ‘Girl from the North Country’, by Bob Dylan.
Words of Wedded Wisdom
I would say to really try and listen to yourselves and be true to what you’re envisioning for the day. There might be a super cool trend on Pinterest, but is it you? Will it be you in thirty years? That really helped narrow down and simplify our plans.
I don’t think that we would have spent as much on the other days worth of activities, I think people were just happy to be there and would have enjoyed a paired down version of events as well.
