Congdon met her fiancé when the two were college students at The Pennsylvania State University together. The two attended a fraternity party together in December 2016. Even though Congdon may be engaged to one of the league's most talented running backs, she reportedly prefers to keep her personal life private. "She never really liked the spotlight, to be honest with you," Duffy said. "She was always that kind of kid. I know that’s the type of mother she is. She's probably very protective of the kids, not wanting them to be into that kind of thing — the circus and what it could turn into."
