2. Multiple light layers of polish dry faster and last longer than heavy ones so take your time. Apply the white polish and let it dry completely, either to the whole nail or where you intend on adding colour (tips only for example).
3. Paint two coats of your regular red or pink and a third coat if necessary.
4. Finish your manicure or pedicure with a final layer of regular top coat to seal the deal. Run the brush over the lip of the nail to get better protection from chips and peeling polish.
5. Use a Q-tip with acetone-free nail varnish remover to correct any mishaps.

Top Tip: When winter rolls around you can try the same nail polish hack, but instead of white, you can use a black varnish over your base coat to bring a sexy dark hue to a classic red or berry shade.
