We love the look of accessories name 9elk who have just entered the bridal market with simple, statement hair accessories "that make getting dressed for an occasion feel effortless," says co-founder Edel Lyons. Appleby Jewellers Gets a Glow Up

Having recently celebrated its 70th anniversary as a family-run Dublin institution, Appleby Jewellers have also just announced the opening of The Emerald Suite, a new private consultation area designed by bespoke furniture maker, Ryan Connolly. With eight private consultation spaces already in store, the new suite offers an even more intimate setting where customers can immerse themselves and create pieces that are uniquely theirs. "Over several visits between my workshop and the store, we settled on materials and details that felt timeless rather than trend-led, including design cues taken directly from the jewellery itself, like faceted cuts and the tooling marks found in vintage gold setting," says Ryan. Meanwhile Joe Appleby, Director of Appleby Jewellers commented, “The Emerald Suite was created in response to growing demand for private consultation spaces." We can’t wait for a peek! Hats are the Runaway Trend for Brides in 2026

From Dua Lipa's Bianca Jagger-inspired wide-brimmed hat to Love Island's Francesca Allen's oversized picture-hat and Molly Smith's Jackie O pillbox, we've already established that celebrity brides are increasingly trading the traditional veil with statement-making bridal headwear (see above). And it hardly needs to be re-iterated also that hats are without a doubt firmly back on the bridal agenda too. Designer Caroline Castigliano (who designed Francesca Allen's wedding gown) says she has seen a huge rise in elegant bridal hats, pillboxes, fascinators and couture headpieces, which of course can be rented as much as designed or bought off the shelf. We say hats off to that! Some of our favourite recent real weddings have featured hats. Just take a look at stylish Jennifer and Declan's Portugese nuptials and Adrienne & Patrick's elegant Castle Durrow day.

Honeymoon Under the Stars

Nashville Airport is Renamed for Dolly

Finally, how can we round out August 2026 without a mention of Dolly Parton who passed away at age 80 on August 25, 2026, following a brief battle with cancer? For all those considering a honeymoon in her hometown of Nashville you will be delighted to hear that Nashville Airport is going to be renamed after her. Also did you know that Aer Lingus fly directly into Nashville? So come 2027, you will be greeted by Dolly Parton at Nashville when you land! Prices from €321 return, Aer Lingus.
