From the law library and lecture halls of UCC to the sun-drenched stone of a Mallorcan estate, London based couple Naomi and Luke’s love story is over a decade in the making. What started as two law students hitting the books together eventually turned into a magical journey across the globe, and after a cinematic, surprise-filled proposal in New York’s Central Park, the couple knew their wedding day had to be just as unforgettable. Choosing a destination wedding in Spain, they brought 120 of their closest family and friends to Mallorca for a celebration that perfectly blended old-world European elegance with the warm, relaxed intimacy of home, all in the glorious Balearic sunshine. Here is a look inside their breathtaking 5th September 2026 day. Pictures are by the super talented Mallorcan based photographer Abraham Garcia. The couple, who are both from the Sunny South East of the country (Naomi is from Tramore and Luke is from Cork) met over a decade ago, while studying law together in UCC in Cork, although it is no surprise they were engaged in New York as it has also always been part of their story: "NYC has always been a special place for us as we both worked in Montauk on J1 student visas and we used to visit there frequently," says Naomi. Their proposal story takes them to the Big Apple, when Luke surprised Naomi while on holiday there, on a night in the Plaza Hotel "which was a dream come true", says Naomi." It was late November so everything felt Christmassy – it was truly magical." The following day Luke had arranged for her family to arrive in NYC as another surprise, so they got to celebrate with them too. "And then Luke’s parents then surprised him by showing up that evening!" says Naomi who describes the few days as "the perfect combination of having that intimate moment together and then getting to share the excitement with the people closest to us in NYC." Fast forward to the following year and Naomi's stunning wedding day look in Mallorca was all about her Jane Hill gown, from Halo & Wren boutique, which she perfectly paired with sleek Tony Bianco heels and sparkling statement earrings from Nice Cream London. The bridesmaids wore mix and match dresses from Bec and Bridge. Every detail of their beautiful Spanish wedding was thought out, with the couple's Irish heritage and family history weaved into the Mediterranean setting. We love the sign greeting guests with Céad Míle Fáilte (which means, of course, "A Hundred Thousand Welcomes" in Irish if you don't recognise it!). "We wanted the wedding to be beautiful but never so formal that people couldn’t relax," says Naomi. When it came to wedding planning, Naomi, who is a big fan of director Nancy Meyers, stayed with the American theme in wanting to encapsulate some of that aesthetic we all know so well from films such as The Holiday and Somethings Gotta Give. "I love how Meyers films make even the smallest details feel beautiful and intentional," Naomi shares. "There is something about that world that feels elegant but incredibly warm and lived-in." With that in mind, their chosen wedding venue - The Casal Santa Eulalia - a 13th-century stone building rural estate and upscale country hotel located in northern Mallorca had to feel both polished and homely, as well as cater to all of their guests, who had travelled from all over the world to stay on-site together. "One of my stand out wedding moments, I think, was seeing Luke walking down the aisle with his mom to the Lord of the Rings on string quartet," says Naomi. The Mother of the Bride's dress is from Phoenix_V Boutique in Cork while the Mother of Groom is wearing Acler. "We had lots of hydrangeas, roses, lace, antique frames, handwritten calligraphy on envelopes with wax seals and all that felt vintage and considered. I loved the idea of everything feeling collected rather than perfectly matched," says Naomi. "The venue was already so beautiful so we wanted those details to complement the venue rather than compete with it." We love that Naomi took her own advice. Don't her and Luke look like they are just really enjoying every moment of their celebration? So fun! "Another favourite wedding memory for us was Dylan Howe from Toucan playing while everyone was having canapes," says Naomi. "It created a gorgeous atmosphere. We chose lots of old world music like Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin." "Good food, excellent music, plenty of drinks and having everyone we love together were the things that mattered most to us," says Naomi. The stunning floral displays and bouquets throughout featured lots of lisianthus flowers paired with soft pink carnations and light purple roses as well as hydrangeas. "We loved the idea of getting married somewhere that already had so much character and natural beauty," says Naomi. "The setting had everything we wanted – old stone, beautiful greenery, palm trees and outdoor spaces" Most of the stunning stationery and typography was designed by Wild Muse Weddings and Betty K Designs with Naomi also DIYing templates on Etsy and printing through Canva. As it got dark, candles and lighting "brought another layer to everything" says Naomi. "It felt romantic, nostalgic and personal. We also had a love before ours table including photos of old family wedding photographs in vintage gold frames." Table styling elements of lace, antique frames and handwritten calligraphy added to the delicious atmosphere. While the flowers and stationery were so beautiful, the most memorable detail of the night cost absolutely nothing. Naomi and Luke hand-wrote an individual letter to every single guest at the wedding. "We genuinely hadn’t anticipated how emotional that would be," says Naomi. "During dinner, we looked around and could see people laughing, crying, and showing letters to others. It ended up being one of the things people remembered the most." We all love to see a classic Champagne tower at a wedding and Naomi and Luke took this photo opportunity to such gorgeous and epic new heights! After speeches and fireworks the couple had even more delights for their guests, setting up a projected video from their London Islington Town hall wedding. "We used a company called La Isla Studio who used drapery as the background. It was incredible!" The couple's first dance was to Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. But the party didn't stop there as this generous couple also went on to host a Day Two for their guests. "We had a BBQ, a tapas truck, an ice-cream van and a dessert station. People loved the ease of staying on site," says Luke. After a peaceful minimoon at El Vicenç in Mallorca to unwind from the wedding excitement, the newlyweds are now back to reality and planning their next big adventure: a bucket-list safari honeymoon in 2027. How amazing! From all of us here at One Fab Day we extend a huge congratulations to Naomi and Luke as well as a massive thank you for sharing your beautiful destination wedding with us. Thank you also to photographer Abraham Garcia . You can see lots more stunning captures in the gallery below. Planning your own big day? Get inspired with more Real Weddings here!

Meanwhile Luke's dashing sunny celebration wedding day look paired a sharp, custom-tailored suit from Edit Suits London with an elegant, botanical touch of a Sterling Silver Calla Lily brooch sourced via Etsy. The groomsmen looked just as dashing in matching tuxedos and black leather Oxford shoes. Side note: How cool are those oversized bowties!

"Make it fun and try not to sweat the small stuff," Naomi advises couples who are in the throes of planning. "Enjoy the day because it goes far too quickly!"
