It's no secret: A bachelorette party can often become an extremely expensive getaway. Between flights, accommodations, matching outfits, dinners, drinks (and more drinks), it can add up quickly. Here’s the good news: With a little strategy and the right destination, you can plan a stylish, memorable, and on-theme bachelorette trip without asking everyone to drain their savings. It's something many of today's brides are focused on, wanting to ensure that their friends can celebrate their upcoming nuptials in a budget-friendly way.

Modern groups are prioritizing value over extravagance, says Juliette Ulaga, the CEO of BacheloretteStays. “Brides and maids of honor are more conscious about finding destinations and experiences that feel special without putting a strain on the group,” she adds. For example, they're leaning into homes and hotels that double as hangout spaces, themes that are easy and affordable, and one or two big moments—like a boat day or private chef dinner—rather than an endless list of expensive excursions.

Ahead, the most affordable bachelorette party destinations that are equal parts memorable, fun, and photogenic—so that you can make memories without maxing out your credit card.

Looking for sunshine, culture, and cocktails without the outrageous price tag? Consider the region around Tampa and St. Petersburg. “It’s a great affordable destination choice because it blends trendy beach vibes with rich culture and lively nightlife,” says Jackson. When deciding where to stay, split downtown rental property or book a suite at the modern Roost Tampa or SkyBeach Hotel & Marina in St. Petersburg.

Planning to pregame somewhere fun? The Sugar Factory at Seminole Hard Rock is an over-the-top, Instagram-worthy spot with wild cocktails and shareable bites. During the day, relax at St. Pete Beach, book a floating tiki cruise, or take a mural walk through the city’s famous art district. Come evening, head to Ybor City for Cuban-inspired eats at Columbia Restaurant or waterfront cocktails at The Edition’s rooftop bar.

Chicago, Illinois

Don’t sleep on the Windy City—it’s one of the most underrated (and surprisingly affordable) bachelorette destinations in the U.S. “Chicago has big-city energy with walkable neighborhoods and tons of free or low-cost things to do,” says Adriannea Smith, a travel advisor and the founder of Standby With Adrie. Book a chic loft or apartment in a trendy neighborhood, like Wicker Park or the West Loop. For something central, downtown hotels like the Kimpton Gray can be surprisingly budget-friendly (especially if someone’s using points), and many offer seasonal programming. Want something a little cozier? Head to the charming Deer Path Inn for a pre- or post-party reset that feels like a mini escape.

Deep-dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s (or Giordano’s) is a must, but don’t miss group-friendly spots like Girl & the Goat or Parlor Pizza. For something casual-yet-iconic, Portillo’s is a fun, affordable stop. From walking the Riverwalk and hitting a selfie museum to booking an architecture boat tour and heading to Wrigley Field, there’s plenty to do on a budget. Plus, many nightlife spots skip cover charges, so you can dance the night away without draining your savings.

Cape Cod, Massachusetts

If your bride’s vibe leans more cozy-coastal than club-crawl chaos, Cape Cod is the perfect charming, seafood-filled destination for her celebration. “It offers that classic New England appeal—beaches, bike rides, and bonfires—but in a way that feels elevated and laid-back,” says Courtney Zimmerman, a group travel specialist from Liz Moore Weddings.

To save money, book a rental home or resort with built-in amenities. Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster is a standout for groups thanks to its private beach, multiple restaurants, and spacious villas that make lodging easy (and often more affordable than splitting hotel rooms). During the day, plan beach picnics, ride the Cape Cod Rail Trail, or take a scenic sail out of Hyannis Harbor. In the evenings, hit The Raw Bar in Mashpee for lobster rolls the size of your face, or enjoy a laid-back dinner at The Chatham Squire. The latter also features live music most weekends, making it easy to transition right from dinner into dancing.

Key West, Florida

For a bachelorette trip that feels like a tropical escape, Key West delivers sun, charm, and zero stress. “It’s laid-back, colorful, and packed with character,” says Zimmerman. “You can spend your time biking around pastel streets, sipping frozen cocktails, or just relaxing on the water—and you don’t need a passport to feel like you’re on vacation.” She recommends staying at a boutique hotel in Old Town, where you’ll be walking distance from the best beaches, bars, and brunch spots. “The ability to explore on foot or by bike really helps keep costs down, and you’ll find plenty of great group photo opportunities just by wandering around,” she adds.

Spend the day on a catamaran cruise or doing a snorkeling tour before heading to Blue Heaven for brunch under the trees or Garbo’s Grill for casual tacos and burgers served from a vintage Airstream. For a more upscale group dinner, Santiago’s Bodega is a fan favorite. When it comes to nightlife, Duval Street features drag shows and dive bars.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

If you love the idea of Miami but not the price tag, Fort Lauderdale brings the sunshine, style, and palm-lined beaches—without the splurge. “It’s a tropical alternative that still delivers for bachelorette groups,” says Ulaga. “You can find colorful, Instagram-worthy homes with private pools and space to host everything from poolside brunches to themed pregame nights.”

Stay in a group-friendly rental like The Pink Palm Tree, or check into a boutique hotel near Las Olas Boulevard for easy access to the city’s best dining and nightlife. During the day, hop on the water taxi for a breezy tour of the Intracoastal, rent bikes to cruise the beachfront promenade, or plan a DIY beach picnic with takeout from local gems like Coconuts or El Vez. When it comes to dinner, Takato serves up sushi with a view and a menu that’s perfect for sharing. If you do want to splurge, treat the bride to a spa day at The Ritz-Carlton, or book a group massage session to unwind between more budget-friendly festivities. Come evening, Las Olas has all of the energy of South Beach—but with more space, fewer crowds, and no cover charges.

Aruba

If you’re dreaming of island vibes without the crowds or steep prices of some Caribbean hotspots, Aruba is the ideal destination. “Aruba is a fantastic option for a budget-friendly bachelorette trip thanks to its reliable weather, small island vibe, and reputation for being safe and easy to navigate,” says Zimmerman. Stay in a beachfront villa or look for deals at all-inclusive resorts like the Aruba Marriott, the Hyatt Regency Aruba, or Embassy Suites by Hilton—all of which offer spacious, group-friendly accommodations with easy beach access. “Booking a villa not only keeps things affordable but also creates space for poolside brunches, themed nights, and sunset toasts,” Smith adds.

During the day, head to the ocean: Eagle Beach is calm and picture-perfect, while Palm Beach is ideal for water sports and frozen cocktails. For a little adventure, rent ATVs to explore Aruba’s rugged interior, or book a catamaran cruise for sunset views and snorkeling. “Groups love floating happy hours at Pelican Pier,” Zimmerman adds. “It’s fun, festive, and won’t wreck your budget.” Wrap things up with a luxurious dinner at Wilhelmina, or opt for a picnic right on the sand.

Costa Rica

If your group is open to a little adventure, Costa Rica can be a surprisingly affordable spot for a bachelorette party. While it may not be the cheapest destination on this list, it’s easily one of the best locations in terms of value—especially for groups craving a mix of beach time, rainforest vibes, and once-in-a-lifetime excursions. “Costa Rica offers a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and great value for groups,” says Zimmerman.

Base yourselves in towns like Tamarindo, Nosara, or Manuel Antonio, where eco-lodges and shared villas keep things affordable without skimping on style or scenery. Start the day with beach yoga or fresh fruit smoothies, then spend the afternoon zip-lining, hiking to waterfalls, or joining a surf lesson with a local instructor. “It’s a top pick for groups who want to do something unforgettable together that’s still laid-back and budget-conscious,” says Smith. When it comes to meals, Costa Rica nails a causal-yet-luxurious aesthetic. Think: fresh ceviche, cold cocktails, and sunset dinners at breezy beachfront restaurants.

Vero Beach, Florida

For an oceanside escape that feels elevated but not overdone, Vero Beach is a low-key Florida gem that’s perfect for bachelorettes who want sunshine, charm, and space to relax. Located on the Treasure Coast, it offers wide, uncrowded beaches, walkable neighborhoods, and a more laid-back feel than Miami or Fort Lauderdale. “It’s a great pick for groups who want something beautiful and effortless, but still want to feel like they’re celebrating,” Smith says.

Book a beachfront rental or check into a property like the Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa, which has spacious suites, a serene pool scene, and a prime location right on the sand. During the day, unwind with beach yoga, paddle boarding, or frozen drinks under an umbrella. Want to switch things up? Browse the boutiques along Ocean Drive, plan a group picnic at Riverside Park, or toast with cocktails at The Tides before dinner. Taco Dive is a group favorite for margaritas and casual bites, while local seafood spots offer sophisticated menus—without the Miami markup.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

If you’re after ocean views, poolside lounging, and luxurious vibes on a budget, Cabo San Lucas should be high on your list. “Cabo is a great destination for a bachelorette trip, especially for travelers looking for beautiful beaches, great food, and a mix of luxury and affordability,” says Jackson. Spots like Le Blanc Spa Resort and Nobu Los Cabos offer an all-inclusive—yet high-end—experience. For more flexibility and savings, consider booking a villa with a private pool, outdoor dining area, and plenty of space to pregame, recover, and celebrate between outings.

Spend your days snorkeling in Santa Maria Bay, beach-hopping along the coast, or sipping cocktails at a chic day club. Want a group-friendly excursion? Jackson recommends booking a boat day. “It’s scenic, social, and surprisingly affordable when split among the group,” she says. At night, hit the marina for fresh seafood, rooftop mezcal tastings, and a DIY taco crawl through the downtown area. Another option is to opt for a cozy night in with a private chef—complete with margaritas, guacamole, and a decadent cake for the bride.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

No passport? No problem. “San Juan is one of the best value destinations for U.S. travelers,” says Zimmerman. “It has culture, food, beaches, and nightlife—all without international travel logistics.” Opt to stay in a home in Old San Juan or Condado, where many rentals come with rooftop terraces or courtyards, so you can kick off the weekend with a welcome toast before heading out to explore the city.

By day, bounce between beaches like Escambrón and Condado, schedule a group salsa class, or stroll the cobblestone streets hunting for pastel buildings and piña coladas. A guided food tour is a fun (and filling) way to get to know the local flavors, and a visit to El Yunque rainforest is perfect if your crew is feeling adventurous. At night, the La Placita district turns into an open-air party with bars, music, and dancing—no expensive cover or bottle service required. If you’d rather have a more laid-back experience, head to a tapas dinner in Santurce.

Austin, Texas

For live music, tacos, and top-tier people-watching, Austin remains a bachelorette favorite—and for good reason. “It’s a great pick for budget-conscious groups that still want to have a blast,” says Ulaga. Book a photo-worthy stay in East Austin or South Congress (many come with hot tubs, outdoor games, and party-ready décor), and spend your days paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake, snapping pictures at iconic murals, or tasting your way through the city’s legendary taco trucks. “Austin’s food scene is full of flavor and fun without the fine-dining price tag,” Ulaga adds.

Come evening, bar-hop down Rainey Street—where most spots skip cover charges—or head to a honky-tonk like The White Horse for live music and dancing. Don’t forget brunch: Bouldin Creek Café is a plant-based gem, or go full Texas with breakfast tacos at Veracruz All Natural. For a splurge-worthy moment, consider booking a group wine tour to Hill Country or a sunset boat cruise on Lake Austin.

Sayulita, Mexico

If your bride is more of a free spirit, Sayulita is the must-visit spot for her bachelorette party. “Sayulita is a standout with its boho-chic vibe, colorful streets, and blend of beach and town energy,” says Zimmerman. Located just north of Puerto Vallarta, this laid-back surf town offers a fun mix of tacos, tequila, and gorgeous scenery—without the high price tag you’ll find at other beachfront locales.

Stay in a colorful casita or beachfront rental with space to pregame, lounge, and celebrate the bride in style. Spend your days browsing the open-air markets, taking group surf lessons, or sipping spicy margaritas at beach bars like Don Pedro’s. For a standout experience, book a horseback tour or a private mezcal tasting with a local guide.

Tulum, Mexico

Yes, it’s a hot spot, but when timed right, Tulum can also work for a budget-friendly bachelorette party. “Tulum, when visited in the off-season, still offers that jungle-chic aesthetic and Instagram-worthy settings, but at a more accessible price point,” Zimmerman says. Book a boutique hotel or stylish rental in Aldea Zama or La Veleta, where you’ll find dreamy décor, picturesque pools, and easy access to town. Spend your days biking between beach clubs, taking a dip in cenotes, or exploring nearby Mayan ruins like Tulum or Coba. For lunch, grab fish tacos from Taquería Honorio or smoothies at Matcha Mama (yes, the swings live up to the hype).

At night, skip the ultra-pricey hotels and bar-hop downtown for mezcal margaritas and live DJ sets—no bottle service required. Or go low-key with a taco crawl, a group mezcal tasting, or swimming with the turtles for a one-of-a-kind experience. It’s effortlessly cool, deeply photogenic, and the kind of trip where one moment you’re wearing flip-flops and the next you’re dancing barefoot to reggaeton in the sand.
