Julietta Bridal: Ketchum, Idaho

1 year ago 150

When Allison Jadallah took over Manor House Bridal in Sun Valley a little over two years ago, it was a full-circle moment: She had been a client at the boutique just a year earlier, when she bought her own wedding gown there.

Jadallah renamed the salon Julietta Bridal—after her grandmother—and outfitted the space with plush textiles, Instagram-ready backdrops, buckets of flowers, and a mid-century bar (stocked with Champagne glasses standing at the ready for celebratory toasts). “My vision is quite simple,” she says. “I want brides to feel like they’ve had the experience of a lifetime—never rushed, uncomfortable, or pressured. And I want them to know they can find couture in Idaho without the plane ticket to New York or L.A.”

My vision is quite simple: I want brides to feel like they’ve had the experience of a lifetime—never rushed, uncomfortable, or pressured.

That couture collection includes gowns from Monique Lhuillier, Mark Ingram, Ines Di Santo, Sareh Nouri, and Jenny Yoo (among others). Inside the shop, industrial-inspired pipe racks provide bold contrast against ultra-feminine basque-waist ball gowns, lace A-lines, glittering beaded-fringe mini dresses, and off-the-shoulder floral-printed frocks. Displays of eveningwear, bridal party gowns, veils, bags, and vintage pieces allow the stylists to provide a final polish that brings the bride’s vision to life. “My absolute favorite moment is introducing a bride to a dress she never would have picked herself—the wildcard—and seeing her fall completely in love with it,” says Jadallah. “It’s an emotional, exhilarating moment when her face lights up, and you can see that instant transformation and newfound confidence.”

Jadallah takes much of her inspiration from her mother, also a small-business owner, who immigrated to the United States from the Soviet Union—and tied the knot in a borrowed dress. “I don’t think it really bothered her until my own wedding approached, and she realized she had no dress to pass down,” says Jadallah. “Now, I like to imagine that every dress from our boutique carries its own beautiful story forward.” Jadallah prioritizes community initiatives, like offering discounts for local city, healthcare, education, emergency response, and hospitality workers; she also donates unsold gowns to local groups that support military families and women’s advocacy.

“At the end of the day, I just want everyone to experience their special moment,” says Jadallah. “You should feel incredible when you find the right dress—ready to walk down the aisle. It's your dress, your day, your moment. Enjoy it!”
