Claire and Jordan's real wedding was a full-blown floral fairytale! Their summer celebration took place at the lush Beech Hill Country House in Co. Derry. They were joined by 80 of their nearest and dearest for their absolutely magical day in June which was filled with precious moments and the sweetest tributes to their loved ones. With a modern take on bridal elegance, a whimsical ceremony in the woods, a drool-worthy Lambeth wedding cake, and the sweetest mother-daughter dance that will bring a tear to your eye, there is so much beauty to unpack. Every moment of pure joy was recorded with considered beauty by wedding photographer Captured by Claire. So before we dive into all the dreamy details of their big day let's find out about their love story. Jordan is from Waringstown in Co. Down and Claire is from Maghaberry, Co. Antrim, where they live today. Jordan tells us, "We met at school in Lurgan College but never really spoke too much at that time. I went off to uni in Coleraine and Claire went to Tech in Lisburn. We started speaking more regularly in the summer of 2015 and took her a while to get used to me but we started going out on January 2nd 2016 and the rest is history." The proposal was the "most nerve wrecking thing ever" Jordan says. "Claire won a free trip to Iceland (the country not the shop) through a charity event back in 2024 and I thought no better place to propose. My initial plan was to propose under the Northern Lights but I was that nervous I had to propose in the hotel room." They were so excited to bring all their family and friends together on their special day and the goal was to have the time of their lives. Spoiler alert: They did! Claire's sumptuous and stunning wedding dress was by Colby John which she accessorised with a romantic lace-trimmed veil, bow heels by Linzi, and pearl earrings. Getting married outside at Beech Hill was a "non-negotiable", they were smitten with the venue once they saw the dreamy forest area. "The grounds of Beech Hill are exceptional, seeing the waterfall, the walled garden and the forest area were breathtaking. It was a no-brainer choosing it once we seen it." Claire and Jordan's dreamt of a soft and timeless wedding day aesthetic and we couldn't be more in love with the results. With elegant tuxes from Freddie Hatchet the bridesmaids' sage green satin gowns with scarf necklines were from ASOS. Seeing their family and friends together, laughing and having a great time, meant the absolute world to them and there were the sweetest surprises planned to celebrate their loved ones which blew them away. "Two things made it really special. Jay, who was one part of the bridal party, had saved Claire's late father's funeral order of service and had it framed. Claire never knew he had kept it for 15 years and it meant the world. My grandparents were unable to make it due to sickness and had sent a heartwarming letter up with my cousin Jessica who read it out after the speeches which was a surprise but very emotional." Their tiered white Lambeth wedding cake, which was created by the venue, was the epitome of elegance. The reception area was just what they dreamt of for their speeches, dinner and dancing. The breathtaking ceremony and reception florals and installations were designed and created by The Wedding Room NI while Blossom Stories NI created the beautiful bridal party bouquets. Claire's dad Paul had sadly passed away about 15 years ago and they honoured him beautifully with their favours which were a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. Their sensational summer celebration was “the best day of our lives”. Jordan adds, “It’s no exaggeration, it is worth the year or so of planning. The nerves the build up and making sure everything goes to plan." The couple shared their first dance to Dive by Olivia Dean. "It's just an unreal song and can't stop listening to it." One of the most moving moments of the celebration came as Claire surprised her mum with a mother-daughter dance which included the first dance song at Claire's mum and dad's wedding. As for their honeymoon? They headed off on a fabulous cruise around Italy, Croatia and Montenegro. They kept the celebrations going by travelling to Spain for a few days afterwards for a friend's wedding. Congratulations Claire and Jordan!
