For Bridget Doory, opening her Santa Monica, California, bridal boutique En Blanc wasn’t just about the gowns: She wanted to create a salon where each appointment was rooted in high-end service, intentional details, and a concierge atmosphere. The vision was clear: For brides, she says, “finding your gown should feel as meaningful and special as the day you wear it.”
With this benchmark in mind, Doory brought in a team of bridal stylists with more than 50 years of combined experience in luxury and couture fashion—all of whom stand ready to offer their industry wisdom, emotional support, and extensive knowledge of the salon’s inventory to brides on the West Coast (and to many who travel cross-country for the full En Blanc experience). “We identified a gap in the LA bridal landscape: a need for an elevated, fashion-centric experience that honors individuality, celebrates inclusivity, and delivers exceptional service with warmth and authenticity,” says Doory. “What I cherish most about this work is witnessing the transformative moment when a bride sees herself—truly sees herself—in a gown that reflects her beauty, confidence, and individuality.”

Creating an ideal experience for every customer means Doory and her stylists are firmly Team Bride—even when dealing with thoughtless comments or unwelcome opinions from friends and family. “Working with brides every day, we are constantly reminded of how deeply personal and emotional the journey to finding ‘the’ dress can be,” says Doory. “Sadly, we often witness the weight of body image struggles and, at times, the sting of body shaming—sometimes self-inflicted, sometimes voiced by those closest to the bride. At En Blanc, there is no space for that kind of narrative in our showroom. Here, every bride is celebrated exactly as she is.”
But no matter how flawless the experience, wedding dress shopping is also, of course, about finding a dress. Doory and her team curate “an intimate edit of globally-sourced bridal collections—from emerging and established designers across the United States, Australia, Israel, the United Kingdom and more,” she says. Elegant designs from Suzanne Neville, Tal Kedem, Mariana Hardwick, Anne Barge, and many others share space with veils, jewelry, headpieces, mini dresses, and jumpsuits. Traditional silhouettes and timeless shapes mingle with on-trend picks (expect to see Doory’s favorite straight-from-the-runway details, like bubble skirts, neck scarves, and off-the-shoulder necklines, make an appearance in the future).
