For some couples, the ultimate wedding dream is not a massive party but a beautifully simple and elegant day spent with their closest inner circle. For Victoria, originally from Moldova, and Aleksei, from Russia, their wedding was exactly that. Between them they designed the ultimate Dublin small city wedding for 20 at the Lombard Street Registry Office, followed by a reception for their nearest and dearest at The Grayson restaurant on Stephens Green. From their elegant registry office ceremony to a private, food-focused private restaurant reception, their capsule wedding day perfectly proves that less can absolutely be more. The date was the 6th of May 2026, and the stunning captures are by talented photographer Diana Pokusai. It's time to hear more about this super chic couple... Victoria and Aleksei first met as workplace colleagues. The romance began however after Aleksei left the compan, prompting the pair to meet up for casual coffee catch-ups. In time those coffee dates turned into a relationship and exactly five years later, the couple tied the knot, before an "unforgettable proposal" the summer before. "It was an incredible surprise," Victoria shares. "The day was right after my birthday, and we were on holiday in Croatia when Aleksei popped the question." The wedding morning kicked off with a small registry office celebration. While the nerves were naturally rushing during the vows, Victoria notes that the mutual support of the people aroud them kept them grounded. "We were supported and cared for my friends all during this day - they knew how special it was for both of us," she says. The bride wore a strikingly modern gown from the Odd Muse Bridal collection, showcasing the label's signature tailoring. She paired the clean-lined silhouette with stiletto heels from Mango, featuring metallic details that added a high-street edge to her look. Completing the ensemble was diamond-encrusted white gold jewelry from Fields which caught the light and brought a classic touch of luxe to her minimalist style. The groom’s suit was Remus Uomo with jewellery from Fields. After the ceremony, the wedding party made its way to The Grayson, an understated restaurant and event venue located in a restored 1745 Dublin Georgian townhouse directly overlooking St. Stephen's Green. "We wanted to have a closed room only for ourselves with the music of our choice," Victoria says. When it came to designing their day, Victoria says she let their personal style lead the way. "We believe simplicity and minimalism are among the most satisfying aesthetics," she says. So instead of overcomplicating the decor, they leaned into the existing, stylish design of their reception venue, focusing on good food, great music and quality time. "Our priority was to connect all our friends in one place, celebrate with everyone, have a great laugh and create memories that will stay with us forever." For their first dance, Victoria and Aleksei skipped a traditional choreographed routine for a raw moment, soundtracked by Happy Together by The Turtles. The elegant cake was designed by Carolie Goulding Wedding Cake Design, alongside vibrant floral arrangements by Shop The Garden. With the wedding wrapped, the newlyweds headed to Spain for a sun-drenched honeymoon split between Seville and Marbella - a route they highly recommend to other couples. "Seville is a beautiful and romantic city," says Victoria. "Then renting a car and driving to Marbella was great for a clean beach, amazing restaurants and all the historic Spanish villages to visit." Reflecting on their day, Victoria’s advice for couples currently planning their wedding is simple, practical, and effective: "Delegate as much as possible and ask for help."
