A Light Blue Farm Wedding at The Loft at Walnut Hill in Bedford, Indiana

Kelsey and Trevor got married at The Loft at Walnut Hill in Bedford, Indiana, in August 2026, with 112 guests and a ceremony in a rustic barn before the party moved to a modern one. Light blue ran through every detail.

They met on Tinder in 2019 and dated long distance for four years. Trevor proposed on June 27, 2025, at Swallow Falls State Park in Oakland, Maryland. Kelsey said yes.

Why they chose The Loft at Walnut Hill

The venue felt like a blend of the two of them. They both love the outdoors, bright spaces and a mix of rustic and elegant, and the property has all of it: rolling green hills, more than one barn, and both outdoor and indoor spaces. Ceremony in the rustic barn, cocktail hour and reception in the more modern barn. “We instantly knew.”

Light blue, baby’s breath and a whimsical look

Their vision was whimsical and romantic. Florals from Business is Blooming stayed classic and light, white and greenery with pops of blue, and baby’s breath lined the aisle. Kelsey wore Maggie Sottero, her bridesmaids wore light blue from Azazie, and the guys wore Men’s Wearhouse. Her ring is from Brilliant Earth. If you’re picking a palette, here’s where to find color inspiration.

A reception built for talking and dancing

The reception barn was everything they pictured: lots of candles, natural light and little bud vases on the tables, low enough that guests could talk across them. First Class Catering handled the food, Aria Strings played, and Epicenter Entertainment kept the dance floor full, which was the point. The cake was a classic white two-tier with flecks of blue to match the wedding color.

The idea worth stealing

Use bud vases instead of tall centerpieces. Kelsey and Trevor wanted guests talking, not peering around arrangements, and small vases with a few stems kept every table open and usually cost less than full centerpieces.
