US couple Riann and James partied like royalty as they tied the knot in a fun-centric summer wedding at the magnificent Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin. They leant into the castle’s aesthetic and their dream day was a love letter to all things classical elegance. Exuding romance and joy in every moment, their sun-kissed fete included an incredibly chic bridal wardrobe, delicate blush blooms, a fairytale outdoor ceremony followed by a dreamy candlelit reception, and an ornate cake.

They wed on the longest day of the year so they incorporated oodles of light and bright elements along with plenty of espresso martinis to keep the crowd going well past dark! Riann is from Texas and James is from California and they met in Washington D.C. which is where they live today. "We met at a bar and we chatted about (American) college football and laughed together for hours, and every time James got up to get another drink a new man would try to insert himself and steal Riann away. Unbeknownst to James and Riann, Riann’s friends had ended up at the same bar and watched their first date from afar. They attest that it was obvious how much the pair liked each other from the start, and they’ve been joking around together ever since.”

James pulled out all the stops to propose as he planned a full fake work event with their friends and he even hired photographers and all. He was thrown a curve ball when Riann actually missed it due to a delayed train which forced him to choose a new location last minute. He ended up popping the question in the park outside the bar where they met and it was perfect.

Their top priority was to have as much fun on their wedding day as possible! "For our small family but large group of friends, we wanted to be sure that everyone would have a memorable and long night of fun. Weddings show what couples love to do and how they hope to share it with those around them. Our wedding was absolutely a party."

Dublin was the perfect place for a full weekend adventure with their international crowd and the celebrations kicked off with a welcome party at the stylish Georgian townhouse restaurant The Grayson on St. Stephen's Green.

Their wildest wedding dreams came true at Luttrellstown Castle which offers couples unparalleled style, splendour and sophistication. "James has familial ties to Luttrellstown Castle, and it was the perfect neutral site for family spread across the U.S. and Australia, as well as friends ranging from Iceland, Germany and India. It’s also obviously beyond gorgeous, and having the whole place to ourselves was a huge plus."

The couple tied the knot in a floral-filled ceremony in front of the castle that felt right out of a fairytale. James's brother officiated their ceremony which meant the world to them.

Butterflies added to the sense of undeniable magic. "Throughout the outdoor ceremony, wild butterflies kept landing on us both, and surrounded us throughout the day."

The planning, styling and floral design was by Frog Prince and their guests were left utterly enthralled.

The bride sheds more light on the vibe they wanted to achieve for their summer celebration, "While the ceremony highlighted the seriousness of the occasion, our dinner and reception were a non-stop flow of fresh pints, good jokes, live music, and running through the castle halls until the wee hours of the morning."

Riann's spectacular lace wedding dress was by Rosa Clará which she styled with a beautiful lace-trimmed veil, shoes by Bared Footwear Australia and jewellery provided by family members.

They held their reception in the magnificent ballroom with the decor oozing romantic sophistication.

James's slick tuxedo was from Suitsupply which he styled with vintage accessories from YSL.

Riann's top day wedding tip? Stay near your spouse! "There are a million people to see and chat with, and it can be too easy to become separated as you make the rounds."

Caroline Goulding created their decadent Lambeth wedding cake which was decorated with lavish swags.

The festival-style live band The Suitcase Seven raised the roof on the night and the couple shared their first dance to Jackie & Wilson by Hozier.

The mother-son dance to Sweet Baby James by James Taylor had the whole crowd in tears.

Their honeymoon was an absolute adventure as they went on an extended safari across East Africa, returning via Egypt and Paris!
