A Blue and White Wedding at Sea Cliff Manor on Long Island

Photos by Heritage House

Quinn and Josh got married at Sea Cliff Manor in Sea Cliff, New York, in August 2026, with a wedding party of 39 people. Friends, siblings, cousins, all of them. And thanks to a plan made months ahead, the couple still got to enjoy their own cocktail hour.

They met at Lafayette College at an event called Laxmas, and their engagement photos were taken at Robert Moses State Park on Fire Island. They picked Sea Cliff Manor, on Long Island’s North Shore, because Josh proposed there and because, in their words, it felt homey and welcoming.

How do you do photos with a 39-person wedding party?

You plan them like a seating chart. A group that big can swallow the whole day, so planner By Michelle Rea Events and the couple set the groupings in advance. Quinn got ready at her family home, Josh at a hotel nearby, and they did a first look in the gardens. By the time the ceremony started, five separate portrait groups were done. The payoff: Quinn and Josh spent cocktail hour at cocktail hour.

Blue and white, start to finish

The palette was blue and white everywhere. Quinn wore Maggie Sottero from Lotus Bridal and carried white roses with soft blue blooms. The bridesmaids wore light blue. The groomsmen wore tan suits from The Black Tux with blue and white boutonnieres. At the reception, blue and white arrangements from Flowers By Burton sat in chinoiserie vessels above gold chairs.

If you’re building a palette from scratch, here’s where to find wedding color inspiration. And if tan suits are on your list, read our guide to renting a suit or tux for your wedding.

The Sea Cliff Manor wedding ceremony and reception

They married under a white floral arbor on the property. Cocktail hour was outside, with an oyster bar and Matthew the Saxophonist playing. During dinner service, Heritage House pulled Quinn and Josh down to the water for a few minutes of golden hour, which is the move if your venue sits on the water.

Crowd Control Entertainment ran the music, the cake came from Dortoni Bakery, and The Good Life Transportation Company handled the limo bus. When asked what they wanted guests to remember, Quinn and Josh answered in capital letters: “DANCE FLOOOOR.” They got it.

The idea worth stealing

Big wedding party? Write the photo groupings down before the day and do them all before the ceremony. That’s how a 39-person crew didn’t eat into Quinn and Josh’s cocktail hour.
