When it comes to your wedding memorabilia, thinking beyond traditional photo albums and leaning into personalization makes it even more meaningful. To commemorate your special day, use the items that were part of it. Some of the most memorable moments can be transformed into beautiful pieces of memory art, from dried bouquet petals and handwritten vows to confetti from the reception celebration. These keepsakes can become works of art you revisit every day.

Ahead, Jessie Brooks, an art expert and product manager at Davincified, a premium custom art platform, shares her ideas for turning wedding memories into art.

Your bridal bouquet is one of the most thoughtfully planned details of your wedding day—and one of the most photographed. Pressing and framing petals preserves their beauty while showcasing the bouquet's colors and textures. “They can be arranged in shadow boxes, pressed between glass, or even incorporated into resin art," says Brooks. "You should start drying them within a day or two of the wedding to keep the colours vibrant."

Bouquet memorabilia is a romantic representation of your special day and a timeless piece of décor.

Wedding Dress or Vail Snippets

Before preserving and storing your dress, Brooks suggests taking a small snippet of lace, fabric, buttons, or beading. "Frame them with your wedding date or a meaningful quote for a truly personal touch," she says. She also recommends layering different lace pieces together or combining them with fabric swatches and pressed flowers to create a mixed-media piece that highlights the romantic details of your wedding day.

Handwritten Vows

“Handwritten vows have such emotional weight,” Brooks explains. “Some brides frame them as they are, while others have them recreated in beautiful calligraphy with decorative borders." No matter how you choose to display them, they offer an intimate glimpse into your love story.

Confetti

After your reception, ask someone to collect a handful of confetti to save from your big day before clean up. According to Brooks, confetti works beautifully in resin art. You can suspend it in clear resin alongside tiny photos or a card featuring your wedding date.

If crafting with resin feels too involved, try sealing the confetti in a frame or clear ornament to preserve that celebratory feeling. You can also add it to a shadow box with your invitation suite and other paper keepsakes.

Creating your wedding invitations was the first major "to-do" of planning your big day. Saving the stationery that spread the good news and brought your loved ones together deserves a moment. Brooks suggests creating a framed collection that includes the invitation, RSVP card, and details card for a cohesive display.

Pressed Table Flowers

Similar to your bouquet, pressed table flowers from the reception make beautiful memory art. “Table flowers are often overlooked, but they were part of the atmosphere that made your reception magical,” says Brooks. Pressing a few stems from each table gives you the flexibility to create a full wall display made up of individual pieces or to share them with loved ones who celebrated with you.
