While many people associate wedding season with the summer months, fall—especially late September, October, and early November—is one of the best times of the year to say "I do." Instead of having to battle extreme heat or an unexpected frost, you'll likely encounter more comfortable temperatures, a reduced chance of rain, an array of local produce, and a cozy atmosphere that plays into the romantic motifs the season is famous for.
In many places in the U.S. (and around the world), fall is often one of the most beautiful times of the year. In addition to sunset-hued trees and bright flowers, such as dahlias, marigolds, and zinnias, tons of seasonal fruits and vegetables are readily available, providing the perfect accent to any tablescape or the main course of your dinner service. Beyond the picturesque landscapes, autumn is known for its cozy feeling—from sipping warm drinks outside while bundled up in a blanket and walking with your partner through a patch of crunchy leaves to curling up with your favorite book or enjoying a pumpkin-themed dessert. There's something so undeniably charming about these months.
If you're planning a fall wedding, much of these beloved feelings and concepts can be integrated into your big day, especially when it comes to your décor. Below, we've rounded up 21 of our favorite decoration ideas to give you inspiration for your own autumnal nuptials.
